Difference between Grass Pellet Machine and Wood Pellet Machine
Generally speaking, grass pellet mills operate at a higher speeds than wood pellet machines do, why? Since materials, such as grass and straw, have a lower density than wood, it is easier to gelatinate, which demands higher die speeds to reduce the wood pellet machine damage and cost of grass pellets. In addition,grass pellets have very different combustion characteristics that are different from wood pellets. For example, grass pellets in general will produce a much higher ash content, and the ash possibly creates a clinker and slag formations which is easy to increase the risk of corrosion of the pellet stove or boiler. Besides, during combustion, many grass pellets will generate at a higher temperature, If grass pellets are used in most pellet stoves and boilers, it may bring safety problem. For these reasons, usually, the grass pellet machine are special designed for dealing with materials which are soft, and with lower density. On the contrary, the wood pellet machine tend to deal with wood and other hard materials.
